This park is located adjacent to the Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge in north/central Oklahoma, west of I-35, near the Kansas border. (Dates: 06/23/2016 - 06/30/2020)
Take your pick of activities in this scenic state park, including fishing in Great Salt Plains Lake or trekking along bike trails. Bring your horse to explore designated equestrian trails, or enjoy the scenery while hiking the park's nature trails. The scenic lake is the perfect depth to paddle a kayak or canoe and view migratory birds that pass through the area.
Camping is available at one of the park's 64 RV sites and 95 tent sites. All tent sites and non-premium RV campsites are available on a first come, first serve basis. Comfort stations with showers are located near the sites and throughout the park for visitor convenience. Great Salt Plains State Park also offers picnic pavilions and outdoor grills.
